Grey/black dirty over everything

I love my kitchendaid overall... however, mixing a cake or whipping a heavy cream is a nightmare. Every time that I wash this acessorie, a grey/black coat goes over the attachment and it spreads over everything it touches... hands, clothes, foods... I tried cleaning it with a toothbrush but even with that, it is still hard to clean all the grey coat out of it. I am afraid that this grey coat could have harmful chemicals that we turn out ingesting. Also, this should be dishwasher safe!

This wire whip is delicate, when turned on high for whipping butter, cream cheese, the prongs detached, would not stay in the shallow holes.

I have had my 5qt mixer for about a year now, but don't always use this part as I have the hand mixer by kitchen aid also. I agree with the previous review, I have used mine approximately 6 -7 times and the wire parts are coming detached from the slot they are suppose to be set in. Please let me know if there is a new replacement part for this mixer and when can we expect it to not have to be replaced often. Either that or offer a credit to the parties that have to replace them often. When you pay hundreds of dollars for a (well known mixer) you shouldn't have to fix the part everytime you use it or purchase another!

Makes Whipped cream in minutes

I got this wire whip with my mixer and I love it. It makes Whipped cream in minutes, Great for strawberry shortcake or key lime pie. Before I whip the cream I put the bowl and the wire whip in the freezer for about an hour and I also wash the wire whip buy hand with mild dish soap.

I am a licensed home baker so my whip is used often...normally not very hard. I am finding that the quality of the replacement whips are not like they used to be. I had the original whip for 10 years...now within the past 6 months I am having to replace them monthly as they break. Poor quality
