I was so thrown after receiving this as a wedding gift and enjoyed it So much until one day despite very careful care to my product there is a very big cracked down the middle..... When I went to go search for a replacement insert I was so disappointed to find that it's been discontinued and also a little bit upset that such an expensive product does not seem to have a replacement insert. I'm also somewhat upset that despite very careful care, that this product is damaged, as I've always held kitchen aid brand in high regard and thought I'd have no issues with a quality product.
Very very disappointed on this one!!

Good Slow Cooker but Pot Cracks super easily!

This was given to us as gift about a year and a half ago. We were using it every few weeks and had good results. Then noticed that the ceramic pot has cracked (not sure how that could have happened with normal use). Now it leaks and we can't use it, and there is no replacement part available. I'm very disappointed with the quality of this products after seeing so many good reviews.

While I have loved the crockpot overall--the size is great for big groups--I have had to replace the ceramic pot twice and now that I need a third one, it is out of stock and I can't find it through any other stores. The cracking of this pot seems like a design flaw and it's too expensive to keep replacing. I hope your engineers figure this one out as I prefer to use KitchenAid whenever possible.

My ceramic pot cracked - a hairline crack right in the middle across the entire thing.
I'm incredibly disappointed that a replacement is not available. In this day when I'm doing my best to minimize waste, a relatively new appiance will be on its way to the waste site. I had read the reviews about the cracking pots, but went with it anyways because of the recommendation by America's Test Kitchen. I will be sending them a note as well.

Loves this slow cooker but it's not even that old and the bowl got a huge crack in it. Had to throw it away. I guess kitchenaid stuff just won't last. And can't even get the replacement?? What's up with that? Won't buy this brand again. Guess I'll start the hunt for a new slow cooker. Ugh.

I received this a a gift a while back, finally took it out of the box and have been using it for less than a year (maybe 20 times tops) and the ceramic insert is cracked. I take very good care of it and it cracked while it was in use while making chili yesterday. I hope someone will contact me to let me know what to do, since no replacements are available. Seems like a very common problem, so I sure hope there is a solution. Thanks.

I bought the kitchen aid slow cooker about 3-4yrs ago, only use during the winter months occasionally so it hasn't really been used much, the pot has now cracked, also the digital number display is not working correctly, it only shows part of the numers, this I could live with but it's still annoying for a product that's not very old, I have a lot of kitchen aid products in my kitchen and they seem to work fine but the slow cooker I am very dissapointed in.

Would love the slow cooker, but I can't use it because the ceramic pot cracked and the replacement pot has been out of stock for a long time. Contacted KitchenAid customer service and there is no time frame of a replacement being available. Maybe they could open the box on the slow cookers they are still selling and sell the crocks from them since they apparently don't intend on having any replacement parts.

I received this item as a gift a few years ago, and have used it sporadically since then. When I removed the insert to clean it after our Super Bowl party I noticed that it had a crack in the corner that ran from top to bottom that allowed some of the contents to leak onto the heating surface of the crock pot. I would have thought that Kitchen Aid would make a quality product - apparently not. This seems to be an ongoing issue for a number of people that own this model.

I bought this fantastic crock pot by Kitchenaide. Used it once. Wonderful - great size! Went to use it a second time and noticed that it had a crack in the ceramic pot!!. Ok, so I figured I damaged it - not sure how that could have happened!! So I get online to order a ceramic crock pot insert and to my surprise!! Looks like this happens to EVERY pot!!!! So, I certainly will not replace it since it will just do it again. These crock pots are expensive!! What a waste of $$$!

Disappointed with Kitchen Aid quality

I have been a long time customer of KitchenAid products for years and half of my kitchen used to proudly represent their products. I received this crock Pot as a gift From my mom and was so excited. One day while cooking the crockpot liner completely cracked and as you can imagine I was so disappointed. KitchenAid refuse to do a replacement but my sister-in-law receive the same model and gave me her liner which she received brand new from KitchenAid. I was so careful and babied it like it was made of class and now this one cracked again. I am so disappointed in the KitchenAid quality and the backing of their product defect . I always used to pick KitchenAid over other products but that won't be happening anymore. This will be my last kitchen aid product that we will
purchase. I use my crockpot four times a year and would expect it would last longer than two times a year… Extremely disappointed!!

I have had this slow cooker for several years and replaced the ceramic pot about 3 times ,you would thank kitchen aid could get it right. I have tried to get another replacement ceramic pot but now it is out of production, what a joke I thought kitchen aid was a good product but they still can't make a ceramic pot that works. I will have to replace my slow cooker with another product. I will never buy another kitchen aid product seems you pay good money for junk. The new cookers still have ceramic pot problems with cracks save you money and buy the other products not kitchen aid.

The crockpot insert is not very sturdy. I didn't have mine for very long before there were cracks near where both the handles are. It's not the cheapest crockpot either so I was very disappointed. And the crazy thing is that to replace it in Canada means spending about what I would if I bought a whole new slow cooker. Frickin' crazy!

Seems I'm not the only one with this problem with the amount of money paid for this product I did expect to holed up better.
It's disappointing that the ceramic pot keeps cracking I think they need to look at the way they are manufactured so many doing the same after a short time I love using my slow cooker BUT I should have stuck to my $50 one from Aldi lasted for about 6yr until one of the kids dropped it.

Trying to purchase a 3rd replacement (for cracked insert)...alas, Kitchen Aid appears to have given up on this Slow Cooker (by not having the replacement available). I guess I must as well. It's a pity 'cause the overall unit was nice. As ceramic making probably dates back 5000 years, I can't believe they can't get this right.

Seeking Replacement of Cracked Ceramic Pot!

10/11/2017
Love my Model KSC700GC0 Kitchenaid Slow Cooker. I have had it for several years, though I only use it once or twice a year (for holidays or big events.) The inner pot is now cracked through, and, since the electronics are still perfect sound, I would really like to replace the ceramic part! As it seems a terrible waste to have to throw away the whole thing, I had hoped a replacement for the broken part would be available, but after a long search, I have not found anything on-line. PLEASE help?!

It seems like a waste to have to buy a whole new unit when I only need the insert for my slow cooker. this has been a great unit but if replacement parts are not available an this part broke so easily only after a couple years and in careful washing/storage (washed by hand). I will never buy or recommend this product to another again. I received this as a gift and have been in love with this cooker ans it's great, works great but for the insert to not be available for replacement is a huge joke especially for such a huge national brand like Kitchen Aid. I will thin twice about purchasing products from you in the future. It's bad for the environment to throw these things out and buy a new one.

Slow cooker--performed well for years; need ceramic pot

I have used my Kichenaid slow cooker for years with very satisfactory results. Like most of the other reviews, I too discovered a crack in the insert and am disappointed the replacement part is out of stock. Worse yet, I notice the Kitchenaid response to each of the reviewers is the same language from Carol S. Makes one wonder if these reviews are actually read, of if so, does Kitchenaid even care.

Cracked ceramic Pot
3/11/2017
We have the kitchen aid crock pot that this liner goes with, but the original ceramic pot broke and we have been trying to find a replacement. The fact this is the only place you can get one, and they are out of stock, it extremely disappointing. We have many kitchen aid small appliances, but this one seems to be having more issues than our older ones. The quality of the liner has made of rethink future purchases for kitchen aid appliances as, like other people have stated, the quality has started to go down hill.

Kitchen Aid Quality Seems to be Slipping
3/11/2017
We have traditionally been a Kitchen Aid family. Happy to pay a little more for a superior performing and longer lasting product. While this review is for a slow cooker, there are mean themes across the product line in our experience. Simply put this was our third KA SC over the years. Our first two, both over 5 years old are still in use and working fine, the third had the crock break after two uses. We called for a replacement, they do not have one and can not tell us when they will have them back. This drove is to purchase a "temporary" Crock Pot brand, which I must say has performed well and is holding up admirably. We kind of feel a little betrayed, I know, that's high drama for a slow cooker. But we were a loyal brand consumer who feels they drive us to another by simply not helping find a solution. What other quality products are we missing with our Kitchen Aid tunnel vision?

3/6/2017
I've had this kitchenAid slow cooker for less than a year after using my other one for 10+ years. I am always very careful allowing it to cool before washing and never subjecting it to rapid temperature changes to prevent cracking the ceramic crock, so was really upset to find a hairline crack in it. I came here to look for a replacement and see that they are out of stock!!!!! No wonder, judging from all the reviews it appears that the crock has some integrity issues.

Optimistic About KA
2/19/2017
My first Ceramic Pot cracked because I put it out on the back porch to keep the contents cold. I did not have room for it in my refrigerator. Unfortunately, I left it outside on a day that the temperature dropped and the contents froze, expanded, and cracked the pot. My fault. I purchased a second Ceramic Pot. On it's second use, my husband decided to slow cook some moose a friend had given him. I made sure he was all set up the evening before he planned to cook it because I didn't want this pot to be accidentally broken. The next day, he turned it on later than he had originally planned. Expecting it to be further along in the cooking process a few hours later, he decided to help speed up the process and removed the pot to put it on the gas stove top, causing it to crack. I was not home to prevent or witness this. Again, human error. When our daughter discovered the crack, he acted as though he knew nothing about it. After returning to this site to purchase a replacement, I read several of the reviews describing unexplained cracks and sadly wrote my second pot off as unexplained. When I approached him to let him know of the unexplained cracks and it was no fault of his, he immediately told me what happened. Now, feeling better, because there are reasons to explain why both of my pots cracked, I am ready to order a third, but they are Not in Stock.
